Hey Gang. So this is where we will gather ideas and track
progress for our collaborative short animated film, “Postponed” .
Synopsis- A mischievous grandson entertains himself
throughout the day by annoying and harassing his aging, sick grandfather with a
harmless array of never ending pranks. As night approaches, each retiring to
bed, their house is infiltrated but a team of pigmy skeleton ninjas. All looks
lost for the Grandfather until his grandson comes to his rescues and fights off
the agents of the death with an armory of homemade weapons fashioned from house
hold products and a highly attuned set of martial arts skill. Grandpas’ passing
is postponed. Granddad awakes the next morning none the wiser to his grandsons heroics.
So that is the basic premise of the short. It is to be no
longer than four minutes tops. What we need and encourage are designs for the
Grand Father, The grand Son, The Skeleton ninjas and a grim reaper design. In addition
to character designs we need gags and story points to flesh out the film. We
need Ideas for pranks and harassing behavior as well as fight scenarios,
weapons, and other vignettes for the short.
For example one idea for the beginning is to have grandson
run around the house with Gramps dentures in his mouth while gramps stares at
his breakfast unable to eat.
We are also thinking of giving grandpa an oxygen machine to
communicate his health as well as an opportunity for gags.
Use this blog to post ideas and sketches as we hope to work
the meat of the story out over the summer.
